From the Island to the World

There was a version of my life that looked decided. Small island, fixed ceiling, a story already written for me. For a long time I believed it.

The turning point was not a strategy. It was a surrender. I stopped fighting reality and started taking responsibility for it. That is a different posture entirely. One is exhausting. The other is generative.

What actually changed me

Three things rebuilt my reality, and none of them were tactics.

Love. I stopped treating people as steps and started treating them as the point. The business grew the moment I did.

Faith. Not certainty, faith. The willingness to move before the proof shows up. Every meaningful thing I have built started as an act of belief in the dark.

Persistence. The unglamorous one. Five hundred workshops were not five hundred good days. They were a thousand ordinary days and a refusal to quit on the bad ones.

Today I split my time between Bali and the Caribbean. I am returning home to Aruba to pour what I learned back into the place that gave me my voice. If the island made me, the least I can do is help make the next person.
